HUAWEI FreeBuds 3 - Wireless Bluetooth Earphone Review
HUAWEI FreeBuds 3 is Huawei's version of AirPods 2. AirPods 2. They're very similar to the AirPods 2. they have similar charging cases and come with several of the same features.
But the FreeBuds 3 are not just an answer to another firm's popular product. They're a distinct product due to features like active noise cancellation. It's the first time in history for open-fit earbuds and one that Apple has only introduced this week to AirPods Pro. AirPods Pro. What are these Huawei FreeBuds 3 like?
It was obvious The FreeBuds 3 are unashamed AirPods replicas. They're very similar to those of the Apple AirPods 2, to the point that it's impossible to tell the two indistinguishable.
Like AirPods 2, they are similar in design to AirPods 2, but unlike the AirPods Pro, the FreeBuds 3 feature an open-fit style which means they are inserted into your ear rather than plugging into the ear canal. It's an interesting combination.
They're very comfortable, and you can wear them for long periods of time and completely forget you've put them on. In the same way, they provide little or no protection from external noise, which affects the quality of sound. The active noise cancellation helps somewhat, however it's not able to compete with anything that's louder than, for instance, the whirring sound of the ceiling fan. The earbuds fit perfectly inside my ear, and would not come out, even after I tried to try to remove them. Your mileage might differ and as a precaution, I haven't used the buds when I was working out.
These buds fit perfectly within my ear canals and did not want to come out.
Like other genuine wireless earbuds, this Huawei FreeBuds 3 case can double as a charger and comes with its own battery that allows users to charge their earbuds when they travel. The case can hold a power capacity of 410mAh. Huawei claims that it will suffice to power the earbuds around four times as fast.
The case is an integral component to your FreeBuds 3 experience - just like the earbuds. It is extremely light and well-made even though it's not the most elegant. The lid that is spring-loaded closes with an enthralling snap. My main concern is the durability overtime of the hinge as it's already a little looser after a couple of days of usage.
The FreeBuds 3 are IPX4-certified. So you won't have to be worried about rain or sweat However, you shouldn't clean them or put them in the swimming pool.
How do you use the FreeBuds 3?
You can utilize freeBuds3 FreeBuds 3 either on their own or with Huawei's AI Life app.
To connect to pair the FreeBuds 3, open the case (leave the earphones inside) and press the button located on the side of the box for 2 seconds until the light inside the case starts to blink. The case will go into pairing mode. Then, you can connect them to your preferred device through the Bluetooth menu. Bluetooth menu.
I tried the FreeBuds with a half-dozen devices that run Android, Windows, and iOS and they were connected swiftly and without hassle each time.
The FreeBuds 3 does not have any physical controls, aside from the pairing button located on the case. Instead, you can control them using double-tap gestures, or via AI Life, the AI Life app.
In the box, the two-tap on the left earbud switches the active noise cancellation. Double-taps on the right earbud initiate the playback (if you've stopped it) and skip the track to play.
The earbuds are able to detect taps with precision however they're not 100% completely reliable. Sometimes, they don't detect the double-tap. It's a bit more frustrating A few times, while I was making adjustments to the right earbud inside my ear, the tap was misinterpreted as a unidirectional tap, which resulted in a skip.
You can change what double-tap gestures perform by using Huawei's AI Life app. You can make them play/pause media, or activate AI Life's voice assistant. You can also remove them completely. You can also alter the level of actively-activated noise cancellation.
If you do not use AI Life, the FreeBuds can function as any similar Bluetooth headphones. There's still a double-tap feature however, you'll not be able to disable or change the gestures. If you are able to connect them to a Huawei smartphone (maybe in a shop) Any modifications you make to double-tap gestures will be carried across to other devices.
The AI Life is a nice feature, but it's not an absolute requirement to utilize and appreciate the FreeBuds 3.
Its AI Life is a nice addition, but it's certainly not required to utilize and appreciate the FreeBuds 3. It's just a little additional convenience.
There are however a couple of features that are only available to Huawei devices that run EMUI 10. These include Wearing Detection that stops playback and starts again when you remove your earbuds and then put them back in as well as a Pop-up Window that displays a pop-up window on your smartphone in order to make it simpler to connect your headphones.
Huawei's "Isochronous Dual Channel connection" technology is exclusive for EMUI 10 devices. It transmits data to each earbud separately it has several advantages: longer battery life, less latency, and greater speed of transmission. Other brands transmit information to one of the earbuds after which it bounces over to the next earbud, which isn't as efficient.
When and how do you bill them?
It is possible to use the FreeBuds 3 using a USB-C cable, or wirelessly. What is you think the Huawei FreeBuds 3 sounds like?
I was delighted by the high-quality sound of Huawei FreeBuds 3. Huawei FreeBuds 3. The sound is well-balanced and pleasant in the middle. The bass isn't as deep or bass that you hear from other headphones, but the sound is sufficient for my preferences and listening preferences. The bass on this particular design is quite impressive.
